Temporary closure of Shripney Road, Bersted

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that from the date specified below, West Sussex County Council has temporarily closed to all traffic Shripney Road, Bersted CP, in the Arun District under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, on Shripney Road from Shripney Road Bypass Roundabout to Sack Lane.

The emergency temporary closure commenced on 27th January 2026 for a maximum of 21 days.

It is anticipated that works will be completed on 3rd February 2026.

The road closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Volker Highways on the behalf of West Sussex County Council undertakes Emergency road closure due to flooding. The restriction will be in place 24hrs An alternative route will be signed on site. Access maintained for emergency services, residents and pedestrians within the closed area.

Temporary closure of Yapton Lane, Yapton

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that from the date specified below, West Sussex County Council has temporarily closed to all traffic Yapton Lane, Yapton CP, in the Arun District under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, on Yapton Lane.

The emergency temporary closure commenced on 27th January 2026 for a maximum of 21 days.

It is anticipated that works will be completed on 3rd February 2026.

The road closure is required to ensure the safety of both the public and the workforce while Volker Highways, on behalf of West Sussex County Council, undertakes urgent works. A 24‑hour closure is necessary due to severe flooding. The road will be closed between junction with The Street and junction with Lake Lane. The restriction will be in place 24hrs. An alternative route will be signed on site. Access maintained for emergency services, residents and pedestrians within the closed area.
