I am pleased to report that the works to alleviate flooding on the A29 at Lindsey have now been completed, and the water levels have receded. The road closure will be removed by 6:00 PM this evening, restoring full access.

West Sussex Highways notification of road closure due to flooding. Cllr Sue Walsgrove will attend the Aldingbourne Parish Council Planning meeting on Tuesday 9th December 2025 to provide an update on the issue. View the agenda here for meeting details.
Any notices regarding flooding and road closures are the responsibility of WSCC Highways and as soon as we received notification these are published on our social media platforms and website. We have been informed that West Sussex Highways, Arun District Council and the developer are investigating the situation and are having a meeting today to discuss actions.
Any new information following that meeting will be posted so residents are aware.
