Proposed permanent Traffic Order A286 & B2141 West Dean and Lavant

WEST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

(WEST DEAN & LAVANT: A286 & B2141)

(40MPH & 50MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202*

 

Permission has been granted to advertise a proposed Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to reduce the speed limit on the section of the A286 between the villages of Mid Lavant and West Dean. There will be a 40mph speed limit centred on the junction with Binderton Lane and 50mph buffers to the north and south.     

As part of the legal process West Sussex County Council is required under the Road Traffic Regulation Act to undertake a formal consultation with you. I am pleased to attach a weblink. This will enable you to view:

·         Plans showing the proposed length of road to be subject to the new 40mph and 50mph speed limits               

·         Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order

·         Public Notice outlining the proposal that will be advertised in the Chichester Observer
